Browne Academy strives to make life easier for busy families. We know the importance of an educational environment for young children as a foundation for future academic success. We have found, however, that many families understand the importance of early education and would love to attend Browne, but struggle to decide between a traditional school calendar and the need for 12-month care. Therefore, those enrolled Preschool 3 and Junior Kindergarten families who pay for Aftercare until 6:00 PM for the school year will be eligible to attend eight weeks of the next Browne Summer Camp session (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) at no additional cost. We hope this offer eases some of the year-round logistical and financial challenges for families of our youngest students.

Lower School (Grades K-4) and Middle School (Grades 5-8)

Lower and Middle School tuition and fees include costs related to employing highly qualified teachers; purchasing texts, classroom supplies, and technology; providing educationally relevant field trips and Mountain Campus visits; and maintaining our beautiful campus. Middle School tuition also includes the use of an Apple MacBook Pro that the students retain at graduation. An additional Parent Association fee of $165 is charged to each family annually. Moreover, the eighth grade year includes an additional fee to cover the cost of the annual eighth grade trip and graduation expenses.

We also offer a 10 payment plan through the Smart Tuition program, which requires payment from July to April. Families have three options for paying their tuition and fees with Smart Tuition:

  2. Automatic payment from credit or debit card (convenience fee of 2.85% will be assessed)
  3. Automatic debit from and checking or savings account
If you have additional questions about paying your tuition or fees, please see the FAQs or contact Becky Todd at 571-451-1000 or by email at btodd@browneacademy.

Financial Assistance

Browne Academy provides need-based financial assistance to qualifying families to help offset the cost of attending the school. Awards are made for the academic year, and all families must reapply for financial assistance each year.  We make admission decisions independently of financial assistance decisions; a family’s financial situation is not included in the criteria upon which individual students are evaluated for admission.

Browne Academy is committed to enrolling a diverse student body and honors differences of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ability, and socioeconomic status. Browne Academy strives to provide financial aid grants to all qualified families with demonstrated need. In some cases, however, a qualified applicant may be offered admission along with a space in our financial aid wait-pool. Grants are awarded to students in the financial aid wait-pool if funds become available during the spring. Approximately 30% of our families receive some form of financial aid. Financial aid awards can range in amount, but every family is asked to contribute financially to their child's education, which means that no award offered by Browne Academy will cover the full cost of tuition to the school. At the preschool and junior kindergarten levels, financial aid is extremely limited and no guarantees can be made that financial aid will be awarded even if a family demonstrates need.

Please contact our Admission Office at 571-451-1001 with questions regarding tuition, payment options, or financial aid.

We use the online service Smart Aid to process all financial aid applications. Browne Academy's school code is 13805Smart Aid provides a need-based financial aid analysis service, which includes a recommendation of what a family should reasonably contribute toward tuition. All information from Smart Aid is kept confidential and results are available only to the Financial Aid Committee.

Families interested in applying for financial aid should submit both their admission application and their application for financial aid at the same time in order to receive a financial aid decision with their admission decision.
