Landing Pads

Tiffany March
First grade had a blast yesterday in science class dropping eggs onto the “landing pads” they had engineered. After the first round of testing, most groups needed to make improvements to their landing pads in order to get them to function properly. It can be hard for students when their initial designs don’t work as planned, but I always remind them: Making improvements isn’t just okay - it’s actually part of the engineering design process!
