Application Process

  • 1. Inquiry - Optional

    Submit an online inquiry form. An admissions representative will contact you to answer any questions you have about Browne Academy.
    This is not required if you plan to submit an application.
  • 2. Online Application

    Fill out the online application and submit the non-refundable $100 application fee. This is the first step to formally apply. Once your application is completed you will receive instructions how to access your application checklist via the myBrowne portal.
  • 3. Campus Tour

    Once your application is complete, you will be able to schedule a private tour in your application checklist found on the myBrowne portal.
  • 4. Candidate Visit

    • Preschool-Kindergarten:
      • Small Group Visit
      • 60 minutes
    • 1st-4th Grade
      • 8:15am-11:30am
      • Participate in age appropriate classes
      • Includes Math, Reading, and Writing Assessment
    • 5th-8th Grade
      • 8:30am-2:00pm
      • Attend age appropriate classes
      • Paired with MS buddy
      • Includes Math, Reading, and Writing Assessment
    All visits will be scheduled via the myBrowne portal.
  • 5. Required Documentation

    • If an applicant for Preschool-Kindergarten is currently in a daycare or Pre-K program, a teacher recommendation from a current teacher is requested
    • Recommendations from primary classroom teachers (current and past year), and transcripts from previous schools (Grade 1 – 5 applicants)
    • Recommendations from both this year and last year's English teachers and Math teachers, and transcripts from previous schools (Grade 6 – 8 applicants)
  • 7. Testing

    • Kindergarten-2nd Grade
      • WPPSI-IV(5 years old) or WISC-V(6+ years old)
    • 3rd-8th Grade
      • Upload any standardized tests (SOL, SSAT, ISEE, etc.) taken in the past 1-2 years
      • Math and language arts assessment will be administered during scheduled candidate visits
    *If your child has received an IEP, 504 or physchoeducational testing, they must be submitted  as part of your application process.

November 1, 2023
  • Enrollment Office begins scheduling checklist requirements (tours, visits, etc.)
January 1, 2023
  • Tuition and Fees updated for upcoming school year
January 25, 2024
  • Re-enrollment contracts sent to currently enrolled families for 23-24 School Year
February 1, 2024
  • Admission Checklist must be completed with supporting documents
  • Financial Aid Applications due with supporting documents
February 9, 2024
  • Re-enrollment contracts due
March 1, 2024
  • Admission Decisions & Enrollment Contracts sent
March 15, 2024
  • Enrollment Contracts due
*Applications received after February 1st will be considered after March 15 based on availability.

September 4, 2024
  • First Day of School, 2024-2025 School Year

Additional Requirements for Preschool, Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten

All students enrolled in Preschool must be toilet trained before the start of school in September. 

Browne Academy has specific age requirements for applicants to Preschool, Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten. Students must turn 3 (Preschool), 4 (Junior Kindergarten), or 5 (Kindergarten) by September 30 of the year they plan to enroll.
