Browne Academy's Red/Grey Competition is a year-long program designed to encourage school spirit and tradition.
Two teams, the Red Team and the Grey Team, have been created using Browne Academy's primary colors. All JK through eighth grade students are on one of these two teams, details of which are highlighted below. The legacy system of younger siblings inheriting the same color as previous family members is in place.
New students, including all rising junior kindergarten and kindergarten students without older siblings, will be assigned to either the Red or Grey team during a special school-wide opening ceremony in September.
Preschool students will be introduced to this competition as members of the all-encompassing “Bruins” team. The “Bruins” team colors will be both red and grey and no specific distinctions will be made.
This competition will include events for all participants (yes, even parents) throughout the school year. We aim to provide a wide-array of events that routinely reflect one or more of Browne Academy’s four core values. For more information, please read the Red/Grey Competition mission statement. Mrs. Durkin will be responsible for overseeing the scoring process, and the only score that will be formally communicated to participants is the final result (at the end-of-year Awards Ceremony).
If you have any questions regarding the Red/Grey Competition at Browne, please contact Katie DaRin or Dave Post. Let the competition and fun begin!
